Happy Valentine's Day!

We re-posted some videos for some reason they stopped working on the blog. Here's our little 3 week old. First picture is the outfit Theia Jo got him. Second picture he's wearing the bib Nona got Kaylin. =) Yia Yia is finally going to be able to see Luke on Friday! She got her H1N1 shot last week (I'm a crazy mom trying to protect Luke!) AND got the approval from her doctor saying her foot was fit to fly. Looking forward to the visit. We went to Kent to watch Ben's Lacrosse team play yesterday and then had lunch with "Uncle Ben". Luke enjoyed meeting his uncle and slept soundly in his arms. That's as big of approval as you can get for him.

People warned me how huge Kaylin would seem once Luke was born. It was hard to imagine my little Kaylin, in the 23% in growth being huge. However, they were so right. Her hands and feet look HUGE to me!

Generosity

Wow- we are overwhelmed with the generosity of my colleagues. One of my friends and fellow TOSAs made several meals for us (and some yummy brownies too!). And a woman at work is a personal chef and several of my colleagues chipped in to buy us an entire month worth of meals!!! This is awesome!

Weigh in

Luke had a weigh in today because he was down to 4lbs 15 oz on Monday. They wanted him at 5lbs today and he weighed in at 5lbs 3 oz! He's a champ!

More Pictures By Request

Here's another round of pictures since a few of you (Jo) were asking for them. We're all home now and making the transition. Kaylin is a lot more satisfied with "Baby Wuke" and Mama home in her comfort zone. She got really spoiled with Gamma, Gampa, AND Pappou to play with while her parents were gone. There are rumors of jumping on the bed, tea parties, and chocolate milk every morning, although no photo evidence to back this up. Luke is doing well and has a doctor's appointment today. Thank you to everyone for all the emails, texts, phone calls, and visits over the last five days. We are so blessed to have an amazing support system of family and friends. Very overwhelming. These photos start with a few attempts by Kaylin to say cheese for the camera. She's still perfecting her style.

New Addition

We are happy to announce the arrival of a new family member. Luke Benjamin had trouble making up his mind but ulimately decided to show up at 9:59pm. He weighs in at 5 pounds, 11 ounces, and measures 17 inches long. He's very skinny since he didn't think waiting around in mom's tummy to develop a little fat was worth it, but he's doing well. We're so excited that he's here and healthy. His mama was an absolute champ throughout the whole thing and is healthy and happy. We are so lucky and blessed. More to come in the next week or so (not babies, just photos and blogging).

We're still waiting! Hope to have pictures and a new baby soon. Live blogging has been suggested by Uncle Sean and Auntie Malika. Their suggestion was reviewed and unilaterally rejected. Stay tuned...

Zoo!

A beautiful, 50 degrees, sunny, mom AND dad have the day off MLK day! Thank you Auntie Amber and Alan for the zoo passes. It's obvious that we are going to LOVE going lots and lots!

Roller Skating

Yes, they make roller skates that small! She went to a birthday party. Was OK being on skates, and luckily it was a laid back place where they didn't care if the kids ran around in their shoes. Now that was fun for her. The videos are of some of the fun. And one of her talking to and feeding Elmo. Hopefully she'll be as thoughtful to Luke. Maybe without yanking his mouth open, though.
