Big Girl!

Miss Kaylin is getting ready to transition into the toddler room. She'll be napping in a sleeping bag. Any of you who have taken care of Kaylin are laughing right now because none of us can imagine this little lady laying down on the floor, in a sleeping bag, and not getting up and moving around. The teachers say it can be done so I'll let them do their job. :) We did practice at home a little, and she did a great job.

New Trick for mom

I learned to make a slide show. Hooray! Also, I survived my first puking-sick- child-need-to-stay-home-from-work-for-three-days extravaganza. No fun. Thanks to Traci for coming to help me out yesterday. Kaylin caught a little bug at daycare. She threw up for a few days, but didn't seem sick. She played and played, and occasionally threw up. We had a day of pedialyte and now we seem to be doing OK. She's a trooper!

Stay Warm!

We like to give a special shout out to the entire midwest and east coast. We would like a special mention to the Tzenis family in Minneapolis. We're reported to have a 70 degree difference between Seattle and Minneapolis. -20 is very cold!!!!!

New Tricks

With this new phase of development, though I am very tired, I am also having so much fun. Kaylin can do new things every day and is more playful by the minute. She has finally learned to give kisses to people (before it was only to her toys). She giggles and teases and is just delightful. She is beginning her transition from the infant room to the toddler room (purple room) at the Montessori. Harder transition for mom I think. It is clear, however, that she has out-grown her playmates and wants to move and groove. I'll keep you posted on the transition. Pray she becomes less of a picky eater!

Yes, she'll actually throw her face into yours for a kiss, but this isn't it. But it was sure a fun game! Below is her reading a book. She reads to us all the time. Always with lots of enthusiasm!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2009! Theia Jo is in town for a few days and did some magical camera work. Dad, unexpectedly, got the day off so the four of us had so much fun. Kaylin is definitely done being an infant and is full swing toddler. One of her latest tricks is to sit in her high chair and put her cup over the edge, look you straight in the eye, drop it, and say, "uh oh." Then leans over to look at it as to say, "How did that get down there." Stinker.
