Good bye, July!

Auntie Amber came to play for 5 days. It was so fun! Kaylin got some good bossing around in and Luke was full of smiles (except when he was post-shots!)

Little Luke is getting so big. He's at 16lbs and the doctor forgot that he even needed an "adjustment" on the scale because he's so on track. He's still a good sleeper and a sweet thing. He is always content as long as he has Kaylin in view. She's so entertaining.

He's pretty good with solids. But it's always clear when he's done eating because it's everywhere!

Kaylin was supposed to be taking a nap. But when Gus came in to check on her he saw, and smelt, desitin everywhere! So like any good parent, he snuck out of the room to get the camera before coming back to clean her and the room up. Not the easiest thing to clean up, that's for sure. Video for your enjoyment at the bottom.

We try to get Kaylin to spend time and cuddle her brother, but we're lucky she doesn't just shove him off the couch. He's getting very close to sitting on his own, but if he topples on to any part of her, watch out!

Don't really think they look alike, but in this picture I can see a resemblance. He's just a bit lighter (hair and eyes) than she is. But they have the same nose!

I posted these pictures, backwards time line wise. Sorry! This is Kaylin, who is supposed to be long asleep, checking out the fireworks from our bedroom. We thought she might like them, but she really really liked them!

We went to Auntie Jaci and Uncle Danny's house (Danny is Gus's co-resident) for a BBQ. Very fun. Little Ruthie was born a little over a week after Luke. Yes, they are betrothed. They were quite fond of one another. Kaylin on the other hand, didn't have a nap, so she was less amused by the pictures. She was also terrified of the little dog. =)

Watching World Cup with dad. Gus is on a 8 day run of call. However, it's nothing like it was first year. He's done most of it by phone and we've gotten to see him most of the weekend. We can't go farther than about 20 minutes from the hospitals, but at least we get to hang out together!

Luke is a smiley little boy, and Kaylin is quite the talker. I think this is what it was like to watch me grow up. Scary. She's commenting on EVERYTHING she sees. She thought the fireworks looked like Abby's wand...POOF!
