First day of school

Tough day for Luke. Kaylin said "it was a lot of fun but I am too tired to talk about it". And if she is too tired... Hope Luke gets used to the new place sooner than later. Will keep you posted!

Drama Camp

Luke and I would go to the park every day after dropping Kaylin off at camp.

Kaylin's mask that she made

Luke's new friend.  Only speaks French.

Walking into the performance.  I apologize for the bad pictures and sometimes off camera video.  I was doing both at the same time.  Correction, I TRIED to do both at the same time.

Afterwards.  She is so proud of herself.
Today my daughter had her first performance on a live stage.  She didn't want to do the play initially because of the clapping.  Therefore, I am SO PROUD that she put on a brave face and did it anyway.  Gus and I are gitty!  The kids wrote their own plays and came up with all their own ideas.  Very nice. There were three 10 minute plays with different kids.  This is Kaylin's.  Typical bad girl gone good.

2 1/2!!!

Our little boy turned 2 1/2 yesterday!  We celebrated by seeing Thomas the Train in Snoqualmie Saturday and going swimming Sunday. I can't believe it's here.  I've been so busy worrying about him for the last 6 months, and all of a sudden, time passed.  His apraxia is getting better and better. He loves to talk now, sing Thomas songs at the top of his lungs, and always says, "Good Job, Kaylin" any time she does something.  He's still pretty unintelligible, but the amount of words he can say is increasing rapidly and his behavior is more reasonable.  I meet with the kids' montessori tomorrow to talk about ways to support him and I just pray that he's going to be a good fit there.  Time will tell.  Some days are hard, but overall, we are feeling really good about his progress and know that because he started speech therapy so young, every sign points to him being fine in the future.  If we see HUGE progress in just two short months, I can only imagine what this year will bring.  He continues to ADORE his Thomas Train collection, loves having them have conversations and run them all over the house. By the way, it really hurts to step on a train.  Tomorrow will be two weeks since we took away all the pacis.  His sleep is still rough and Kaylin is still sleeping in our room until Luke can figure out how to quietly put himself back to sleep. =)  It's been an adventure, but every day is better and I have confidence that this too shall pass.  At least that's what they say. =)  He and his sister are really liking playing with each other, dancing around and tackling each other. I love this little boy of mine.  He brings us so many laughs and hugs and big wet kisses.  Continue to pray that he makes progress and most importantly, that he is always knows how wonderful, unique and perfect he is!
