Draft and Sweet Potatoes

Kaylin was very supportive of both parents' teams. Her very first NFL draft. We'll see how much luck she brings the teams this year. :)

We got our very own high chair (thanks, papou) and toy. We enjoyed our first helping of sweet potatoes. Plus, being messy is so much fun!

Buddy Birthday

Who knew that this could be so fun? Kaylin wanted to make sure we post today and wish our friend Noah a very happy 2nd birthday. She even made him a sign (ok, I helped a little with the spelling). The ketchup drawing is in honor of the birthday boy's dinner request. After making the sign, K was a little hungry and decided to eat it as well. Hope your day is great, Eddy Family!!

Projects

Project #1- Laughing- She actually does more than just squeal! :) And at one point (not on this video) she even saw the camera and was still interested in doll. Apparently rattle doll trumps camera.

Project #2-Sleeping-Disclaimer- it looks a little bit like a scary movie but I didn't want to risk her hearing the 'beep' of the camera and wake up. This is what we've worked on all week long. She's actually doing wonderfully (everyone knock on wood, please). She slept from 9pm-5:45am last night. She usually takes 1-2 hour naps too. Hooray!

First Solids

We had a special day today with Kaylin's first attempt at solid food. She had a little rice cereal mixed with breast milk. Most of it ended up on her chin and bib, which is what we figured would happen, but it was still fun. Also, Kaylin's Grandpa loves her little toes and has been requesting more pictures involving them.

Tummy Time

We tried some tummy time again today with our usual result.

5 months

Papou gave us the airplane shirt (of course)!

Kaylin is 5 months old today. I can't believe how quickly time flies! We're working on sleeping in her own room in her crib, and we're very proud of the progress she is making. She is more and more fun and beautiful every day.

The Daily Show

Again, I know this video is long and for many of you may not be that interesting, but I'm putting stuff up anyway. She is just that cute and grandparents love this stuff. I'll try to do something most days while I'm home with her. This one demonstrates her new reckless tendency to grab things regardless of consequence, like getting hit in the face with a spoon. Also, sorry about the lighting. It is terrible in our apartment.

Camera Shy

Kaylin, like many babies I'm sure, loves our camera. As Jen showed in a previous video, she will be whining or fussing but once she sees the camera facing her she'll brighten up and put on a show and talk to the camera, even if the camera is off. And it happens every single time. I just did it while writing this post to test my own theory.

Anyway, here are a couple more videos of Kaylin being cute with the camera. They are kind of long, but I figure if you're reading this there's a 50% chance that Kaylin is your grandchild and you'll watch whatever we post on this blog. Right now it's just Dad and Kaylin at home having a daily party, so anyone is more than welcome to visit and enjoy reading, napping, and pooping with us.

Beautiful Day

Last night's Mariners game was a success! Mom's favorite player(and probably Kaylie's too), RAAUULL, hit two homeruns. The final score was 8-5 Mariners. With every good play comes dancing, so it was double the fun!

Gus finished his final day of medical school today! What an amazing accomplishment! We are so proud. His graduation is June 7. Everyone is welcome! :)

Picture Perfect

We went to Penny's today and Kaylin got her picture taken in her baptismal dress. She was so good! I wanted to buy everything, but I guess that is the purpose of having the coupon for the basic package. Dang it having a cute girl! I only bought two extra pictures, however, so I feel like it was a great accomplishment on my part.

I paid for it saying how great she was this weekend. She was so tired that we had a very rough day on Tuesday. She was a little bit better yesterday and today has been fine. She's back to not wanting to sleep in her own bed, though. Looks like dad has a project for the couple months he's home with her. :)

She didn't know the camera was rolling and was complaining. She changed her tune a little when she saw the camera. We also wanted to show grandpa's favorite piggies.

BUSY!!

We will have more posts, we promise, as I have spring break this week and Gus is done with medical school starting this weekend (yay, Gus!). We had a busy weekend. Kaylin was baptized in Missoula on Saturday night. She was surrounded by wonderful friends and family. Sunday we spent time with the Eddys and on Monday we got to visit Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa. She was a trooper all weekend. She NEVER cried during the baptism and actually hardly cried all weekend. We are so proud to be her parents!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! Kaylin had a great time looking at all the kids at Mass today. She wore a dress for the first time. :) Thanks to Papou for the bunny hat and to Gramma and Grandpa for the stuffed bunny. They actually gave it to her last Easter when they knew she was on the way. Blessings to all of you on this Easter Sunday. Alleluia!

Crazy but Cute

As mentioned in a previous post, Kaylie has an "Exer-Saucer" which she loves to play in. Recently she's developed this shriek that she lets out when she's playing, which is pretty funny. Next step, TALKING! Also a picture of KJ and her new favorite doll.
